Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Martina Jimenez conducted an unannounced inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to conclude the investigation of the above complaint allegation. LPA met with Lisa Cummins, licensee and Darrel Cummins, assistant. The purpose of the inspection was discussed, and together LPA and licensee toured the inside and outside of the home. Upon arrival LPA observed the front doors open with a safety gate secured. LPA observed from the front door children to be finishing up with breakfast. LPA observed the licensee and assistant assisting the children in the washing of hands and face. The licensee denied the above allegation. The licensee and parents interviewed stated the front doors are always open and parents are welcome to enter the home at anytime. The investigation included obtaining the child care roster, interviews with Licensee, and interviews with parents of children currently enrolled. The parents Interviewed did not corroborate the above allegations. The above allegations are unsubstantiated, based on LPA observations, interviews with Licensee/parents, and record review. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted with Lisa Cummins, Licensee. Licensee shall post the "Notice of Site Visit for 30 days".
