What the inspector wrote

On 11/05/25 at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Diaz conducted an unannounced Required-3 Year inspection. LPA met with Lead Teacher Aracely Chavez and advised them of the purpose of the inspection. Lead Teacher contacted site supervisor and in the mine time provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. Site supervisor Robin O'Toole arrived at 12:00pm. There were 5 children in care at 11:30am at 12:15pm 4 more school age children arrived Transitional Kindergarten (TK)/kindergarten along with 5 staff. Site supervisor stated at 2:25 1st-5th graders arrive. This facility services school age children from Tk- 5th grade. Facility opens 7:00am-7:50am and reopens again at 11:00am-6:00pm. LPA observed required licensing documents pinned to the wall in both classrooms. Each of the classrooms have age-appropriate toys and furniture accessible for children in care. LPA observed enough restrooms available for children to use. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. Last disaster drill was conducted on 9/26/25 (lock-down), 10/16/25 (earthquake), and 11/5/25 (fire) during the time LPA was conducting the inspection. First Aid kits were observed in each classroom. Currently the facility uses an App called HUB for parent/guardian sign-in/sign-out. The facility post newsletters and lesson plans in each classroom. The facility communicates with parents/guardians by email, text, in-person, and monthly communication letters. Facility provides breakfast, Lunch, and afternoon snack. LPA observed menus posted at the entrance door to each classroom. The outdoor playground is shaded and enough amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age-appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. Continued on 809-C A sampling of 5 children and 3 staff records were reviewed. LPA observed children and staff files to be complete and current. Staff mandated reporter certification are all current. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided. Site supervisor was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the site supervisor Robin O'Toole. No deficiencies were cited.
