Routine inspection (3-year)·October 9, 2024

On 10/09/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Veronica Diaz conducted an unannounced Required-3 Year inspection. LPA met with director Deonna Armijo and advised them of the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection with 1 staff. Center operates M-F 12:00-3:00PM. Director informed LPA this site is a 3 hour program in the afternoon. Director stated that 6 children are currently enrolled at this site. LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the walls throughout the classroom. Last fire drill was conducted on 10/07/24. Each of the classrooms have age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible for children in care. LPA observed enough toilets and sink available for children to use. LPA did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. First Aid kit was observed above the sink in the classroom. Currently the facility uses an App called HUBBE for pictures and a form of communication. Facility provides only lunch. Lunch menu was observed and posted. The outdoor playground is shaded and has an ample amount of space for children to play. LPA observed the playground has age-appropriate toys and structures available for children to use. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. LPA observed children's files to be complete and current. Staff mandated reporter certification are all current. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Deonna Armijo. No deficiencies were cited.
