What the inspector wrote

On March 16, 2023 at 12:31 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Susana Martinez and Giovani Gonzalez conducted a Case Management - Other inspection. LPAs met with Executive Director Jennifer McHugh and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Together LPAs and director toured the facility inside and outside. At the time of inspection there were 108 children and 18 staff were present. During the inspection LPAs did not observe any toxins accessible. No bodies of water were observed. On March 16, 2023 at 10 AM, LPA's conducted an inspection to initiate a complaint involving water temperatures. The allegations stated staff do not ensure there is hot water available in faucets used for food services. LPAs interviewed director who stated they are aware there are water temperature issues in two rooms labeled as Caribou and Orca. LPAs asked how long this issue had been going on for. Director stated that issue has been present as of a week ago. LPAs asked if the issue had been reported to Licensing. Director stated that they did not report the issue. LPAs asked why it wasn't reported. Director stated there was no reason it had not been reported. LPAs asked if director was aware that the issue needed to be reported to Licensing. Director stated that they were not aware. LPA's advised director that the nature of the complaint was considered an unusual incident that is required by regulation, CCL must be informed with 24 business hours of the incident. Director advised that she understood. A technical violation was issued on the attached LIC9102.
