LPA's met with licensee Celia Ortiz and advised the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA's a tour of the home inside and out. There were ten children in care along with another adult at the time of the inspection. LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall in the main day care room. Fire and earthquake drills are being documented every six months. Last drill was conducted on 11/28/2023. Fire extinguisher 3A10BC is located inside the pantry room was last serviced 9/7/2023. The licensee uses the living room, dining room, kitchen, play room, one restroom, and backyard for the day-care. LPA's did not observe any bodies of water at the time of inspection. Licensee states that there are no firearms and ammunition in the home. LPA did not observe toxins/hazards accessible to children in care. In the living room, LPA observed a fireplace with a metal screen in front of it preventing children from having access. There are age appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible to children inside and outside. The backyard is fully enclosed with a concrete wall. A roster of children in care was observed current and complete. LPA reviewed five out of five children files. All children files were current.
