What the inspector wrote

On March 8, 2023 at 3:31 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of increasing capacity. LPA met with director Jennifer Brewer and advised her for the reason of the inspection. Together with the director, LPA toured the facility inside and outside. At the time of inspection there were 58 children and 13 staff members. No bodies of water were observed at the time of inspection. The center submitted an application to increase the capacity from 102 to 112. The center plans on adding one room. The room contains age-appropriate toys and learning materials. The room contains 2 bathrooms and 3 sinks. Based on room measurements, the room can accommodate for the additional 12 children. The outdoor area was observed to have sufficient shade and an ample amount of space for children to play. The play structure was observed to be in good condition. The center director states lead testing was previously conducted and test results submitted to LPA Villanueva. A fire clearance was granted on 2/15/2023 by the Ventura County Fire Department. The center meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements. License will be effective today, 3/8/2023 for total capacity of 112 children. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Applicant.
