Facility-requested visit·July 21, 2022

On July 21, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Austin Rios conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. Prior to entering the facility, LPA conducted Covid-19 screening questions. LPA met with facility principal Jessica Reddick and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Facility principal provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were zero children in care at the time of the inspection as facility is closed for summer break. Community Care Licensing (CCL) received an approved fire clearance from Ventura County Fire Department on April 15, 2022. The facility requested an increase in capacity from 24 to 48 children. Facility Measurements: Indoor - 1,984 square footage meets and exceeds the requirement for 48 children. Outdoor - 1,452 square footage does not meet or exceed the requirement for 48 children. The center did not meet Title 22 Division 12 requirements for a change of capacity of 48 Pre-School children based on outdoor playground square footage after measurements were taken during a unannounced visit on 5/12/2022. Director was advised to submit a waiver for the outdoor playground area. Facility later sent in a waiver to allow children in the preschool program to utilize a staggered schedule and share the outdoor activity space to meet the needs of the children. Cont. on 809-C Facility shall comply with the following schedule: \342\200\242 Room 114 (AM) : 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM \342\200\242 Room 113 (AM): 10:20 AM - 11:05 AM \342\200\242 Room 114 (PM): 12:15 PM - 12:30 PM \342\200\242 Room 113 (PM): 12:35 PM - 12:50 PM \342\200\242 Preschool Aftercare (12 Students): 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM Appropriate teacher child ratio shall be maintained at all times and facility must maintain the terms of this waiver at all times. Commingling will not be allowed at any time. Facility shall keep waiver posted at all times. As of today 7/21/2022 facility license capacity is now 48 children. An exit interview was conducted with facility principal. Waiver was printed and provider to the facility representative. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS POSTED AS REQUIRED BY H&S CODE SEC. 1596.817.
