On April 15, 2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Annual/Required inspection at the above mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Director Leone Paul and informed them the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection no school age children were present. LPA observed required postings to be located in a prominent area of the CCC's entrance. Daily activity schedules and meal menus were observed thought the facility. Director informed LPA they conduct sign in and sign out digitally. LPA notes filtered water is provided to children in their personal water bottles or in disposable cups. LPA in the company of the director toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. LPA observed the school age classroom to have sufficient space and ventilation for children in care. LPA observed the school age classroom to be clean and free of hazards. LPA observed the classroom to have age appropriate toys and equipment that are in good condition. LPA observed cabinets to be free of hazards. LPA observed the school age bathrooms to be free of hazards and to be in working order. LPA observed the school age yard to be completely enclosed. LPA observed the yard to have sufficient space and shade for children in care. LPA observed the yard to have age appropriate equipment and to be free of hazards. A samplings of children's files were conducted. LPA observed all children's files to be current and complete. CONTINUED LIC 809C LPA reviewed files for the staff that work in the school age program which were found to be current and complete as well. LPA observed at least one staff to have a current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certificate. LPA notes all staff had a current Mandated Reporter Training certificate. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed.
