What the inspector wrote

On October 08, 2025 at 02:05 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Fernando Hernandez made an unannounced visit to conduct a Required - 3 Year inspection. At the time of inspection LPA met with Site Supervisor Jennifer Torres. LPA discussed the nature and purpose of the visit with the site supervisor and toured the facility both inside and outside. LPA notes at the time of inspection there were (0) children present, however LPA did observe (7) staff members including the site supervisor. The center currently operates from August - June at 8:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday through Friday. The center utilizes (2) classroom(s), "G" & "F" which were observed free of hazards and are equipped with age appropriate toys, teaching materials, and furnishings for children in care. The bathrooms were observed to be clean and sanitary. LPA notes the children utilizes the bathroom located on school grounds, LPA informed the site supervisor a waiver is required for the usage of the school bathroom. Site supervisor stated they will submit a waiver for the usage of the school bathrooms via email fernando.hernandez@dss.ca.gov. Waste containers were observed to have tight-fitting covers. There is drinking water readily available for children inside and outside the classrooms. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack for children in care which provided by the school. Menus were observed posted along with the required postings. Additionally the site supervisor stated the food menus are posted monthly. LPA observed the fenced playground to have appropriate shading and was observed to be in good condition and free of hazards. LPA observed one locked storage shed outside which has been made inaccessible to children in care. The areas around or under high climbing equipment have cushioned material. No bodies of water were observed on the premises. The first Aid kit(s) were observed at the entrance of each classroom. LPA notes the last fire/disaster drill was conducted on 09/22/2025. CONTINUED ON LIC809-C PAGE 2 The facility currently uses an app called child plus for Sign in/out. LPA reviewed a sample of (4) Staff records and were found complete. A sampling of (4) children records were reviewed and found complete. LPA reviewed CPR and First Aid cards to be current. LPA additionally reviewed staff Mandated Reporter training certificate(s) which were found current. CCC COMPLETED TESTING AND NO LEAD EXCEEDANCES : Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. The site supervisor was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP . CONTINUED ON LIC809-C PAGE 3 Site Supervisor was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During today's inspection no citations were cited. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with site supervisor Jennifer Torres.
