Facility-requested visit·August 9, 2023

On August 9, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Susana Martinez conducted an unannounced Case Management- Licensee Initiated inspection for the purpose of changing rooms. LPA met with site supervisor Myecia Goodman and advised her of the purpose of the inspection. At the time of inspection there were no children in care. Together with the site director, LPA toured the facility inside and outside. No bodies of water were observed during the inspection. The center is located on the Hueneme Elementary School campus. The center will be moving from room #20 to room #11. A fire clearance was granted by the Ventura County Fire Department on 7/28/23 for 24 children. The room was observed to have sufficient age-appropriate toys and learning materials. A carbon monoxide detector was observed to be mounted on the wall. The center plans on utilizing the same fenced outdoor space that was originally licensed. The playground has an ample amount of shade available and age appropriate toys/equipment in good condition . The center will also be utilizing the same bathrooms originally licensed. Sufficient stalls and sinks were observed to be readily accessible for children in care. The program is set to begin 08/22/2023. Hours of operation are M-F 8 AM- 11 AM. The center is approved to use room #11. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with site director Myecia Goodman.
