LPA met with Site Supervisor Rebecca Caldwell and informed them the purpose of the inspection. At the time od the inspection 13 children and 3 staff were present. LPA in the company of the site supervisor toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. LPA observed the interior of the CCC to have sufficient space and ventilation for children in care. LPA observed the interior to have plenty of age appropriate children's equipment in good condition and to be free of hazards. LPA observed required posting to be in a prominent area in the classroom. LPA observed a office area of the classroom to be off limits however, the area is still accessible to children. Further LPA observed art closet to be off limits but still accessible as well. LPA advised site supervisor it would be better for the areas to be made inaccessible to prevent children from entering the off limits areas. LPA notes, the off limit areas were free of hazards. LPA observed sufficient restrooms for children and observed them to be clean and free of hazards. LPA observed the indoor area to have a fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector. LPA observed a play structure and observed the fall zones to have sufficient cushioning. LPA observed a storage shed in the outdoor area which has the ability to be locked. LPA reminded site supervisor to ensure storage containers containing hazardous materials must be secured when children are outside. CONTINUED PAGE 2 A sampling of children's files were reviewed and found to be current and complete. LPA reviewed staff files which were also found to be complete.
