What the inspector wrote

On 06/25/25, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Veronica Diaz and Cynthia Alvarez conducted an unannounced Required-3 Year inspection. LPAs arrived at the center about 10:00am and was greeted by school age teacher. Teacher stated that the school age class was on a field trip and will return about 12:00pm today. Teacher contacted the program director Brenda Orozco to notify program director licensing is here. Teacher stated that the program director was on there way back. Program director arrived at about 10:40. LPAs met with program director Brenda Orozco and advised them of the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPAs a tour of the school age classroom inside and out. The program director stated there is 23 children in care and 3 staff. At the time of inspection the staff and children were still on their filed trip during inspection. Center operates M-F 6:00 AM- 5:30 PM. LPAs observed required licensing documents mounted on the walls throughout the classroom. Last fire drill was conducted on 06/02/25 and earthquake drill 03/07/25. The classrooms have age-appropriate toys and furniture accessible for children in care. LPAs observed enough restrooms available for children to use. School age program uses the district restrooms and playground that they have access to year-round. LPAs did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children. First Aid kits were on the field trip with the school age class. Currently the Center uses an App called HUB for sign-in/sign-out. The center also uses app called ChildFolio for communication with parent/guardians as well as monthly newsletters, emails, messages, and calls. Facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snack LPAs observed menus posted in the classroom. Continued on 809-C A sampling of 5 children and 2 staff records were reviewed. LPA observed children's files to be complete and current. Staff mandated reporter certification are all current. LPA verified SB792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis requirements. Program director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of \342\200\234medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with program director Brenda Orozco. No deficiencies were cited.
