What the inspector wrote

On September 11, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Case Management - Change of Capacity inspection at the above-mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Director Marisa Dodd and informed them the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection 34 children were present. The CCC is requesting to increase the capacity of toddlers from 12 to 24, and decrease preschoolers from 39 to 27. LPA notes the total capacity will remain the same at 51 total children. LPA notes Room #3 and Room #4 will remain as preschool classrooms and can accommodate the requested 27 preschool children. Room # 1 will remain as a toddler classroom and can accommodate 12 children. Room #2 is transitioning from a preschool classroom to toddler classroom and can accommodate 12 children. LPA observed Room #2 to have age appropriate toys and equipment for toddlers. LPA notes Room #1 and Room #2 have sufficient toilets and sinks to accommodate 24 toddlers and have changing tables as well. LPA notes Room #3 and Room #4 have sufficient toilets and sinks to accommodate 27 preschoolers. LPA notes the preschool yard and toddler yard will remain the same. The preschool yard can accommodate for 27 preschoolers. The toddler yard can accommodate 12 toddlers. LPA informed Director for a total of 24 toddlers, they must be approved for a waiver for a staggered play time. The Ventura City Fire Department granted the CCC a fire clearance for 51 children on 8/27/25. No deficiencies were issued during today's inspection. Capacity increase is pending outdoor wavier for staggered schedule. Report was reviewed with Director Marisa Dodd
