What the inspector wrote

On August 31, 2021, at 1:50PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Betzayra Cervantes made an unannounced visit to conduct a Required - 1 Year inspection. LPA met with Site Supervisor Cameron Pizarro and discussed the nature and purpose of the visit and together a tour of the facility was conducted both inside and outside. The center is located on the premises of Rio del Sol Elementary School. LPA observed a total of 8 children under the care and supervision of 4 teachers including the Site Supervisor. The center currently operates from 7:00 am to 8:30 am and 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. The program operates in the school's multi purpose gym. The gym has seven hide-a-tables that fold up and are stored in the wall. There is a center stage at the back of the gym. The center provides snack for the children in care. The facility uses the school black top for outdoor recreation. There is adequate shade available for the children. There is drinking water readily available for children inside and outside the facility. LPA observed age appropriate materials and furnishings in good condition and free of hazards. The bathrooms were observed clean and sanitary. No bodies of water were observed on the premises. Menus were posted prominently on the wall along with the site's facility license and Emergency Disaster Plan. A sampling of children records was reviewed and found current and complete. Staff is current in CPR/First-Aid until 6/19/23. All teachers have required immunization records in files. AB1207 Mandated Reporter Training Certificates are on file for staff with an expiration date of 8/20/2023. Sign in/out sheets were reviewed and found complete. All staff have a criminal record clearance. Continued on 809-C Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Exit interview and a copy of this report was reviewed and provided to the Site Supervisor. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS POSTED AS REQUIRED BY H&S CODE SEC. 1596.817. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS OR A CIVIL PENALTY OF $100.00 WILL APPLY.
