What the inspector wrote

This is a change in ownership for the previous facility number 197407857 effective 03/01/2021. On March 23, 2021 at 9:34 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) conducted a pre-licensing change of ownership inspection. LPA met with owner Bishan Seneviratne and facility Director Lorelle Stevens. LPA advised them the purpose of the inspection. Due to COVID-19 and the Department of Public Health guidelines, a tele-inspection was completed via Facetime. LPA was provided a tour of the facility inside and out. The center hours are Monday \342\200\223 Friday 7:00 am \342\200\223 6:00 pm. Currently the facility is on a modified schedule due to Covid -19 Monday \342\200\223 Friday 8:00 am \342\200\223 5:00 pm. There were 20 children in care at the time of the inspection. This is a combination center with an infant component. LPA observed required licensing notices posted prominently on the wall in the office. The facility will be using four (4) classrooms for children in care. Each classroom has their own restroom readily accessible for children. LPA did not observe hazardous/toxin items accessible to children in care. LPA observed age appropriate toys and furnishings readily available to children in care. LPA observed the posted snack menu for children. The facility provides a morning and afternoon snack for children in care. Children have the option to bring a different snack from home. Currently lunch is brought from home. During normal operations prior to Covid-19, the facility offered a food program for children. LPA observed age appropriate structures and play equipment readily accessible to children in the outdoor recreation area. The facility has ample amount of shade. The facilities RAST inspection was completed on 08/26/2020. The Incident Medical Services policy was discussed. Currently the facility does not have any children that require (IMS). Continued on 809-C Facility Measurements: Indoor \342\200\223 2,648.75 square footage meets the requirement for 70 children. Outdoor \342\200\223 6,660 square footage meets the requirement for 70 children. The center meets Title 22 Division 12 requirements. License will be effective today, March 24, 2021 for 70 preschool children. A copy of this report was reviewed and provided to Director Stevens. Director agreed to receive a copy of report via email and voiced understanding that the read receipt confirmation from email will be in lieu of her signature once she receives the report. LPA requested Director send a signed copy of the report to licensing for records. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS POSTED AS REQUIRED BY H&S CODE SEC. 1596.817. THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS OR A CIVIL PENALTY OF $100.00 WILL APPLY.
