Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 12/29/25, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Veronica Diaz and Cynthia Alvarez conducted a Case Management\342\200\223Incident inspection at the Child Care Center (CCC) to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) received by the Department on 12/24/25. The reported incident involved two classrooms that sustained water damage due to rain. The CCC was closed for the holiday, and the two affected classrooms have remained closed due to the extent of the water damage, which resulted in the displacement of the toddler classroom. Repairs are needed, including the replacement of drywall and windows; however, the affected areas must be completely dried prior to any repairs being completed. Maintenance is expected to be completed within approximately 30 days, or sooner if possible. The toddler room and Two's room remain closed at this time. The CCC plans to temporarily relocate the toddler children to the early preschool room. The Director contacted the OD on 12/24/25 and also received an email from the Licensing Program Manager (LPM) requesting the submission of an emergency waiver. The Regional Manager (RM) stated that the CCC may combine classes, so no children are being displaced. The Director stated that there will be no more than 16 children in the classroom, which meets capacity requirements. Director will submit the wavier in writing no later than the end of today 12/29/25 by email and submit hard copy to the Regional Office thereafter.
