Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On September 26, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Case Management - Change of Capacity inspection at the above-mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Director Sherrie Damas and informed them the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection 40 children were present. The CCC is requesting to increase the capacity from 60 to 100 children. LPA notes the CCC is currently using classrooms labeled Room 5, Room 6, Room 7, Room 8, K1 and K3. LPA measured each class room and observed the combination of the rooms have sufficient space to accommodate the requested capacity of 100 children. LPA observed the CCC to have sufficient toilets and sinks to accommodate the requested children as well. LPA notes the play ground will remain the same and that the play ground can accommodate the requested 100 children as well. The Ventura County Fire Department granted the CCC a fire clearance for 100 children on 8/29/25. LPA reminded Director they must inform Licensing when there are changes in rooms prior to making changes. No deficiencies were issued during today's inspection. Capacity increase is granted effective today 9/26/25. Report was reviewed with Director Sherrie Damas. Notice of site visit was given.
