What the inspector wrote

On 12/29/25, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Veronica Diaz and Cynthia Alvarez conducted a Case Management\342\200\223Incident inspection at the Child Care Center (CCC) to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) received by the Department on 12/18/25. The reported incident involved a child in care, C1, who was excluded from the CCC by Public Health. LPAs met with director Nicola Adams to discuss the purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection. LPAs observed that 23 infants and 7 staff were present at the time of the inspection The Director stated that on Friday, 12/18/25, Public Health contacted the CCC and instructed the Director to exclude C1 from care. When the Director asked for the reason for the exclusion, Public Health stated the information was confidential and related to a suspected communicable disease. Public Health advised that no additional information could be provided. On 12/22/25, the Director received an email from Public Health stating that C1 had been cleared and was allowed to return to normal activities. The CCC met all required reporting requirements. Following the incident, C1 remains enrolled at the CCC. During today\342\200\231s inspection, no deficiencies were cited. An exit interview and review of the report were conducted with Director Nicola Adams. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
