Pre-licensing visit·February 20, 2024

Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alecia Sifuentes met with Applicant Zhen Zhen Li for the purpose of an announced second pre-licensing inspection to verify completion of corrections needed from previous prelicensing inspection on 1/11/2024. Applicant requests an infant component to serve 20 infants 0-24 months and a preschool component to serve 48 preschool children from age two years to entry into kindergarten. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one infant classroom located in Room 3 and two preschool classrooms located in Rooms 1 and 2. During the first prelicensing inspection, LPA did not observe a crib wall partition dividing the crib space from the activity space and only one sink available. During today’s visit, LPA observed that the Applicant has installed a four-foot-tall wall partition separating the crib area from the activity space and a second portable sink for a total of one toilet and two sinks for the infants. LPA remeasured Room 3. The infant classroom (Room 3) space contains a total of 749 square feet, which will accommodate applicants request for 20 infants. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024). OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one outdoor area on the property. Applicant has submitted a Shared Outdoor Space Waiver and Insufficient Outdoor Space Waiver. During the first prelicensing inspection, LPA observed the outdoor area under construction. During today visit’s, LPA observed that the Applicant has finished installing the pour-n-play, play structure, and canopy completing the outdoor activity space. LPA observed a play structure safety label sign which includes approval for use of ages two to five years old. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Applicant, Zhen Zhen Li.
