What the inspector wrote

On September 3rd, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lauren Scott with Facility Representative, Katrina Hopkins for the purpose of an unannounced annual inspection. Facility days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Facility was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA toured the facility, classroom spaces and outdoor play areas. LPA reviewed care and supervision of children, staffing ratios, medications and first aid supplies, furniture, equipment, fire drills, menus and drinking water. LPA observed all required forms to be posted. Facility stated that there are no firearms or bodies of water on the premises. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack to children in care. All food is prepared by the district and brought into the facility. Toddler Activity Space: LPA observed 5 toddlers in care. LPA observed 15 minute sleeping checks for all toddlers under 24 months as well. There were age appropriate toys and equipment available for all toddler enrolled. Outdoor space was toured and play equipment appeared to be in good repair. Continues on LIC809-C...... Infant Activity Space: LPA observed 2 infant children in care. There were cribs and cots available based on children's ages. There are needs and services plans for each infant and toddler enrolled. LPA observed that hazardous items (disinfectants, cleaning solutions etc.) were inaccessible to children in care. All furnishings were in good condition. Infant diaper changing area is clean and within arm's reach of a sink. Bathrooms were clean and all sinks and toilets were in operating condition. There are adequate toys and equipment available for children. Outdoor play area was toured. Playground equipment and surfaces were inspected and are in good condition with enough resilient material to absorb a fall. LPA observed 15min infant napping logs for infants 24 months and under. LPA observed a copy of LIC 9227 Individual Sleeping Plan for infants under 12 months during today's inspection. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with Facility Representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep . LPA also informed Facility Representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Preschool Activity Space: LPA observed 25 children in care. There are adequate toys and equipment available for children. Outdoor play area was toured. Playground equipment and surfaces were inspected and are in good condition with enough resilient material to absorb a fall. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services (IMS). LPA reviewed storage of medications and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s personnel, and administrative records. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. In the areas that were evaluated, no deficiencies were cited during the inspection.
