Infrastructure grant visit·April 8, 2025

On 4/8/25 @ 10:40am a case management inspection was made. LPA met with facility representative Roxann Galloway to inspect the new bathroom and remodeled classroom. The applicant/licensee is not requesting a change to capacity. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 8:00am-11:00am. The facility has 1 classroom, with a newly installed bathroom which has one toilet and one sink. The facility shares space with the elementary school and has use of the library bathrooms, which have an additional 4 toilets/urinals. The staff use the bathroom in the staff break room. The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured. There is a kitchen and refrigerator to store/prepare meals that are delivered from another site. Children do not nap at the facility. The isolation area for sick children will be located in either the calming corner or another area of the classroom. There were no changes made to the outdoor space. The outdoor play area is fully fenced. In the preschool yard there is a play structure which manufacture sticker indicates is for the use of 2-5 year olds . There are bark under climbing structures providing adequate cushioning underneath. There are shade structures and trees to provide shade in yard. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The chemicals are locked in a cabinet in the classroom. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children. A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. Based on indoor and outdoor square footage, and with the use of the library bathrooms/sinks, there is enough space to accommodate 25 children. LPA Laird will verify use of bathrooms with administrator prior to children occupying the space. Prior to children occupying the classroom, the following must be completed: Licensee to confirm bathroom access for children. Licensee to have fire inspection completed. There were no deficiencies cited during today's inspection. This report was reviewed with facility site supervisor, Roxann Galloway. A Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
