What the inspector wrote

On 6/27/2023, at noon an inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Snow who met with Area Manager, Sandra Duenas to change the facility program from preschool to toddler only. This program is operated by public agency and a Title 5 funded program 7am-3pm, Monday\342\200\223Friday, year-round. The facility was toured at inside and outside and the floor and yard plan submitted by the licensee were verified. Facility operates in a single classroom that is located on Beverly Terrace Apartment complex. The building also houses apartment administration. The facility representative Sandra Duenas was supervising no children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. There are no pools or bodies of water on the premises. The outdoor activity space was cushioned with bark and free of hazards. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee [or facility representative] and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC Licensee or facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. The fire clearance was granted on 6/16/23 and the facility is licensed at a toddler only (age 18-36 months) for 20 children is granted effective on 6/28/23. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee or facility representative, Sandra Duenas.
