What the inspector wrote

(Continued from page 1) Licensee also stated never denying children access to liquids while in care. LPA conducted an interview with licensee\342\200\231s assistant on 7/08/2021. The assistant stated the allegations did not happen in any of the instances. The assistant did not see any diaper rash as reported in the allegation and had not witnessed licensee harm children in care. The assistant also stated children are always provided with water and the facility is always within capacity. LPA conducted interviews with four children (C2-C5) on 7/08/2021. None of the children interviewed disclosed that licensee ever harmed children in care, would yell at them or they were denied water. LPA conducted telephone interviews with five parents of children in care on 7/09/2021 and 9/08/2021. All five parents expressed satisfaction with care children received from licensee and none had any information or knowledge of any of the allegations made against licensee. On 10/07/2021 LPA received 25 photos that were posted by licensee. Of those 25 photos four of them showed more than 14 children posing for the photos. LPA questioned licensee about these photos and licensee stated the facility will occasionally do special events with parents there in which there may be more than the allowed number of children at the home. Licensee also said some photos were taken when parents were present when children were being dropped off and others were being picked up by parents. Licensee again denied ever being over capacity with children in care and would only have more children at the home when parents were there for special events or parents with older siblings who had previously been in care at the home. The agency has investigated the complaint alleging a child sustained unexplained injury while in care, licensee hit child in care, child was left in soiled clothing for an extended period of time, licensee intentionally stepped on child's foot, licensee yells at children in care, licensee did not ensure child had access to liquids and licensee is operating over capacity. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation violations occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days.
