Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer Semin conducted an unannounced visit to initiate and deliver the findings for the above complaint allegation. LPA met with Assistant Administrator, Mary Gonzales. The investigation consisted of observations and interviews with staff and residents. Staff interviews revealed the air conditioner is working but some residents request extra blankets or portable fans. Resident 1- Resident 4 (R1-R4) interviews revealed that the air conditioner works properly but that it is set too low and is too cold. Residents indicated staff do offer extra blankets. Resident 5 – Resident 10 (R5-R10) interviews revealed the air conditioner is works properly with no complaints. LPA observed multiple thermostats to be set between 73 degrees F and 76 degrees F. Based on interviews and observations, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 6 & Chapter 1) is being cited on the attached LIC9099D. An exit interview was conducted where this report, LIC9099D, and appeal rights were discussed and provided to Ms. Gonzales.
