What the inspector wrote

On April 30, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst, Arvin Villanueva (LPA), conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection to ensure all previous deficiencies have been corrected and all written plans of correction have been completed. LPA met with the licensee/administrator, Veniana Banuve (AD) and discussed plans of correction. LPA was informed that no written Plans of Correction have been submitted for the deficiency cited on April 23, 2026, with a due date of April 24, 2026, regarding a violation of CCR Section 87203, Fire Safety. Regarding the hot water deficiency, the hallway bathroom hot water temperature was measured at 119 degrees Fahrenheit during this visit. The storage area for sharp objects and cleaning solutions under the kitchen sink was observed to be locked and inaccessible. The food supply was reviewed. LPA observed the refrigerator and freezer to be stocked with perishable food items, including fresh vegetables and fruits. Veniana was reminded to submit the Plan of Correction for the citation issued under CCR 87555(a) on April 24, 2026, which is due today. She was also reminded to submit the POC for the citation due on April 24, 2026. Penalties will continue to accrue until the deficiencies are corrected. Based on today's visit, a civil penalty of $100 per day is hereby assessed from the period of 4/24/26 to 4/30/26 for a total of $700. Exit interview was conducted with Veniana and a copy of this report and LIC421FC were provided. Appeal rights was also provided.
