Maintain facility in clean, safe, sanitary condition
87303 (a) The facility shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times. Maintenance shall include provision of maintenance services and procedures for the safety and well-being of residents, employees and visitors.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation and interview, the facility air conditioner broke on 08/29/2022 during a time of excessive heat warning, which poses an immediate health and safety risk to residents in care.

87303 (b) A comfortable temperature for residents shall be maintained at all times.(2) The facility shall cool rooms to a comfortable range, between 78 degrees F (26 degrees C) and 85 degrees F (30 degrees C)...less than the outside temperature.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation and interview, the temperatures inside the facility measured at 89 degrees Fahrenheit inside, which poses an immediate health, safety and personal rights risk to residents in care.
