What the inspector wrote

On 05/19/2026 at 1:50PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson arrived for an Unannounced Annual/Random inspection and met with Licensee Sandhya Gupta. Present for today's visit was the licensee, her fingerprint cleared husband, 2 infants, and 1 preschool aged child. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for child care are Monday through Friday, 5:00AM to 7:00PM. ON LIMITS: Living Room, Family Room, Bedroom #1 (first door right side of hallway), Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3, Hallway Bathroom, and Backyard OFF LIMITS: Kitchen, Master Bedroom/Bathroom, and Garage The facility is a single story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home is observed to have age-appropriate materials for the children. There is a fully charged fire extinguisher, working carbon monoxide and smoke detector, and telephone at the facility. Children bring their own food from home. All food that is brought from the children’s home will be properly labeled and stored. Licensee stated she does not transport children. LPA observed 2 saucer chairs and 1 infant bouncer in the home. Health and Safety probits baby walkers and defines "baby walkers" as any article known as a "baby bouncer", "walker-jumper", "baby walker", or any such similar articles. Licensee was provided form on items not permitted at licensed facilities. LPA did not observe any harmful bodies of water in or around the facility. Licensee stated there are no pets in the home. Licensee stated there are no firearms in the home. Continued 809-C LPA reviewed 3 children's files. Licensee's Mandated Reporter is current and expires 6/18/2026. Licensee's Pediatric CPR and First Aid are complete and expire 9/2026. All required forms are posted and visible for public view. There was 1 deficiency cited on today's inspection. See 809-D for deficiency. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Continued 809-C Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee Sandhya Gupta, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Sandhya Gupta.
