What the inspector wrote

On 4/8/2025 at 2:20PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson met with Licensees Simran Sahni and Sameer Tandon for an Unannounced Licensee Initiated Case Management Visit. Licensees requested increasing capacity from 8 children to 14 children. Present during the inspection were the Licensees, their fingerprint cleared assistant, and 4 school aged children. Also residing in the home are the Licensees 2 minor children. The facility operates 8:30AM \342\200\223 6:00PM, Monday - Friday. ON LIMITS AREA: Living Room, Family Room, Downstairs Bathroom, Kitchen, Dining Area, Patio, and Backyard OFF LIMITS AREA: Entire Upstairs (Master Bedroom/Bathroom, Bedroom #1, Office, and Bathroom #1) and Garage ISOLATION AREA: Dining Area The facility is a two-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home is observed to have age-appropriate materials for the children. During today's inspection all toxins, cleaning products, personal medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. All off-limit areas were made inaccessible with locks, gates, and closed doors. Licensee has stated that there are no firearms and no pets in the home. The home has gained a fire clearance on 3/28/2025 from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department with the condition of the garage and second floor not to be used for childcare. Continued on 809-C Both Licensee\342\200\231s Health and Safety training has been completed and Pediatric CPR and First Aid training is complete and expires 11/2/2026. Both Licensee\342\200\231s Mandated Reporter training is complete and expires 11/9/2026. All required forms are posted and visible for public view. All documents have been received for the increase of capacity application. The Licensee was reminded that an assistant is needed with a large family child care home license, and whenever an assistant is not present, the licensee will comply with the capacity requirements for a small family child care home. Increase of capacity has been approved 4/8/2025. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal rights provided and discussed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensees Simran Sahni and Sameer Tandon.
