What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Sabina Thigeti Sangma for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Present during this inspection was the Licensee, who was supervising two children. Home is a single-story home consisting of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a dining area, a garage, and a backyard. The hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. On-limit areas: bedroom #1 (nap room), living room, dining area, bathroom #1,and the backyard, which is sectioned off into two parts. Off-limit areas: kitchen, master bedroom, adjacent bathroom, bedroom #2, garage, and the other half of the backyard, which contains a tiki hut. The living room is the main daycare area, set up with a variety of toys and activities for the children. The home has a working telephone, a functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. During today's inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Per Licensee, there are no firearms in the house. There are child-size tables and chairs for snacks and activities. The Licensee's CPR and First Aid certifications expire in 02/2026, and Mandated Reporter training expires in 01/2026. The fire drill log indicates that the last drill was conducted on 01/08/2025. The Licensee provides daily snacks and meals. LPA reviewed children's files, and all the files are complete. The infant file contains individual Infant sleep plan ( LIC9227). All required postings are properly posted. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained. The Licensee documents a 15-minute sleep check for the infants. The nap room has cribs for the infants. Per provider, bedding and sheets are provided by the facility and are washed weekly or as needed. see next page.. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
