Facility-requested visit·January 19, 2024

On 01/19/2024 at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted a Case Management – Licensee Initiated for Railroad Junction School. LPA met with Owner, Lalita “Lily” Gupta and explained the purpose of today’s inspection. During today’s inspection, there were 4 school age children in care with 2 staff. Director stated there are 24 school age children enrolled. All staff present caring and supervising children have Criminal Record Clearance. LPA is following up with facility regarding the usage of classroom for the correct license. During an previous inspection, LPA observed the school age classroom and preschool classrooms. During record review, it was determined that the school age room was being used by the preschool children and the preschool room was being used by school age children. Facility was cited on 12/22/2023 for Alterations to Existing Buildings or New Facilities. Facility requested to change the classroom for the correct license. During today’s inspection, LPA observed the preschool room that has requested to be used for the school age license. (School Age Classroom). The classroom is in regulations and compliance with California Code of Regulations, Title 22. As of 01/19/2024, The School Age Room has been approved to be used for the school age license. During today’s inspection, there were not violations observed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Lily Gupta. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
