What the inspector wrote

On Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 2:42 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Caroline Colson met with Iris McMorris for an unannounced random annual inspection. There are two (2) preschool children and two (2) infants present. The home was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. The facility's operating hours are Mondays - Fridays 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Indoor Space : The home is a one story home. The home consist of three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dinning area, kitchen, a converted garage, laundry room, hallway closet, converted garage closet, storage room, unfenced front yard and fenced back yard. There is 3A40BC fire extinguisher. There is a working smoke detector and a working carbon monoxide detector. Mrs. Iris McMorris states that there are no firearms in the home. There is central heating. There are toys available for the children. Pediatric CPR/First certificates are current and expire on February 19, 2024. Mandated Reporter Training is current and expire on March 30, 2025. The living room will be the Isolation Area. There is one small dog. Outdoor Space : The neighborhood park is the outdoor play space. Off Limit Areas : All three bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry room, locked converted garage closet, hallway closet, storage room, unfenced front yard and fenced back yard are the inaccessible areas. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Safe Sleep LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee, Iris McMorris and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee Iris McMorris of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
