What the inspector wrote
On 02/17/2026 at 11:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted an unannounced annual inspection for Alison Machorro Rodriguez and Cristina Machorro's large family child care home. LPA met with licensees and guided analyst on a tour of the facility. During today's inspection, there were 8 children in care (6 preschoolers and 2 infants) and 11 children enrolled. Also present during inspection is licensee Cristina's daughter who is her aide and licensee Alison 2 minor children ( 1 infant and 1 preschoolers). Family members residing in the home are both licensees Cristina and Alison, licensee Alison's husband, licensee Cristina's husband, licensee Cristina 3 adult children, licensee Cristina's mother and licensee Alison 2 minor children (preschool aged and infant). Adults in home have Criminal Record Clearance. Facility hours of operations are Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
This is a two story home which consists of 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, upstairs loft, downstairs play area, laundry room, attached garage, and backyard with an ADU.
The children on limits areas: Downstairs play area, first floor bedroom near entrance, first floor bathroom, and concrete section of the backyard.
Areas off limits include: 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, attached garage, upstairs loft, dirt section of the backyard and ADU in backyard.
The LPA toured all areas used by children during this visit.
Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and central heating system for safety and comfort. There were safe toys, play equipment and materials observed for children. There are stairs in the home that are made inaccessible for children in care. There is a working telephone in the home.

Detergents, poisons, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are made inaccessible in the home.
Per licensees, there are no weapons or firearms in the home. Licensee has an up to code 3A40BC fire extinguisher and working smoke/carbon monoxide detector on the premises. LPA observed a screened fireplace in the living room. Licensee last conducted fire drill 12/2025. LPA observed 2 dogs in the home. Licensee (Alison) stated there are 4 dogs that live in the home.
LPA inspected the backyard and observed a fully fenced backyard safe for children in care. LPA also observed age appropriate toys for children to play with. LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Facility does not provide transportation for children, but understands that children cannot be left alone, unattended in parked vehicles
Children\342\200\231s records were reviewed to ensure that each child has an Identification and Emergency form. The licensees Pediatric First Aid and CPR certificate will expire in 06/2027 (Alison) and 08/2027 (Cristina). Required postings were observed near the entrance.
LPA reminded licensees day care needs to be operated within the limitations and capacity of a Large Family Child Care Home with regards to ratios and that Licensee has to be present in the day care for 80% of the operation hours.

as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at

and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

On or before March 30, 2018, any person who works in a child care facility shall complete Mandated Reporter training and renew the training every 2 years. Website provided:

Both licensees has provided Mandated Reporter certificates and the certificates will expire 08/2027.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Alison Machorro Rodriguez and Cristina Machorro, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
