Facility-requested visit·July 27, 2023

On 07/27/2023 at 12:40 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Christina Watts conducted an unannounced Case Management – Licensee Initiated for Crystal Gatti's small family child care home. LPA met with licensee and explained the purpose of this visit. During today's inspection, there were 2 children in care (2 preschool aged children) and 5 children enrolled. Also present during inspection were licensee's 2 minor children ages 4 and 5, licensee's roommate and an aide. Licensee and all adults present have Criminal Record Clearance. Licensee wanted to add a bedroom to an on limits area for children. Licensee stated she wanted to add the bedroom to be placed on limits so she can have another sleeping area for children in care. LPA inspected the bedroom and observed 2 beds and age appropriate toys for children to play with. Licensee was reminded that plugs and outlet are required to be covered. LPA also went over overnight regulations with licensee. LPA provided licensee the Safe Sleep Regulations for overnight care. Licensee will provide updated facility sketch with the bedroom as an on limits area. AS OF 07/27/2023, THE UPSTAIRS BEDROOM HAS BEEN APPROVED AS AN ON LIMITS AREA. Bedroom is up the stairs, on the second floor. Turning left, it is the first door on your right. During today's inspection, there were no violation observed. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Crystal Gatti. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
