On 04/23/2026 at 12:45 PM,  Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Hood, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and met with Facility Representative Nohemi Saldana.  LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and toured the facility indoors and outdoors.  This is a full day program which operates year around school year schedule.  Days and hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm. There are currently 2 classrooms in operation.  The following ratios were observed: Room 1 (Serves children of 18 to 36 months of age): There were 6 children present with 2 staff members Room 2 (Serves children of 18 to 36 months of age): There were 5 children present with 2 staff members There is only one modular building and both Room 1 and Room 2 are located in the only modular building on the premises. Appropriate ratios and capacity were observed. The rooms were clean, orderly and at a comfortable temperature during this visit. Adequate ventilation and heating are available. The furniture, books, games, and toys are safe, age-appropriate, and in good repair. There is a variety of activities available throughout the day. All required forms were posted. All storage containers and trash have tight-fitting lids and are in good repair. The kitchen is clean and sanitary. Food is stored in covered containers at 45 degrees or less and there is no expired or contaminated food present. Staff preparing food are using proper personal hygiene and food service practices. The food meets the nutritional requirements per regulation and is of good quality and proper quantity. The lunch/snack menu is posted, changes are recorded, and menus are stored for 30 days. Food has been stored separately from any chemicals or cleaning products. Drinking water is readily available. Napping equipment is sufficient for each child, bedding is stored separately, and mats/cots are disinfected after use. The facility has ensured that there is adequate space between mats/cots for easy passage and that mats/cots are not blocking entrances or exits. Children are evaluated upon entry and monitored throughout the day for signs of illness. The isolation area for ill children awaiting pick up is in the directors office. Infant bedding/napping equipment is in good repair with standard cribs and mattresses of a water-resistant material, disinfected daily. Soiled sheets are kept inaccessible to children and bedding is washed daily or more if necessary. Infant changing tables have padded, washable vinyl is at least one inch thick with sides raised at least 3 inches, per regulation, and are within arm’s reach of a sink that is not used for food preparation. The sink and changing table are disinfected between each use. Hand washing and toileting areas are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. There is at least one potty chair or toilet with a training seat present for every 5 infants who are potty training. All storage containers or trash cans containing solid or diaper waste have tight-fitting lids and are in good repair. Hand washing and toileting areas are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. Any waste water used to clean is discarded after use. Medications are kept inaccessible to children. Poisons, disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to children have been made inaccessible. There is no evidence of rodent or insect activity. The outdoor play area is fully fenced with sufficient cushioning and adequate shade, separate from other programs. Age-appropriate playground equipment and outdoor surfaces are in a safe condition with any equipment securely bolted to the ground. Portable water is used outdoors. There are no bodies of water, firearms, or ammunition on the property. The carbon monoxide detector is operational. The facility has a written disaster plan in place that meets the regulatory requirement and has been conducting and documenting evacuation drills every six months. The facility does not transport children. Each infant is to be under direct visual observation and supervision by staff at all times. If the napping area does not have a half or transparent wall that allows for audio and visual supervision from the activity area, the staff is present in the napping area. Sleep checks are conducted and documented every 15 minutes for all infants. Appropriate supervision was in place during this visit. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with the facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed the facility representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. LPA reviewed sign-in/out, a sample of personnel records, and a sample of children's records. There is at least one staff present with current CPR and First Aid certification. The facility is reminded the Mandated Reporter Training is to be retaken every two years and can be accessed at the following website: www.mandatedreporterca.com . administrative records. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of “medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . LPA referred licensee [or facility representative] to the Department website for lead: Lead Toxicity Prevention and Water Testing Information . Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
