  • PERSONAL RIGHTS

    Each child receiving services from a family child care home shall have certain rights that shall not be waived or abridged by the licensee regardless of consent or authorization from the child's authorized representative. These rights include, but are not limited to, the following: (2) To receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations….This requirement was not met as evidenced by: interviews. It was determined that licensee is providing care to children at her store in Shafter, CA and also at the home (unknown location) of adult #1 which is not licensed. This poses an immediatel risk to the health, safety and/or personal rights of children in care.

  • CRIMINAL RECORD CLEARANCE

    (d) All individuals subject to a criminal record review pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1596.871 shall prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed facility: (1) Obtain a California clearance or a criminal record exemption as required by the Department…This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Interview. Multiple individuals that were interviewed reported that daycare children have received care by adult #1 during licensees noted daycare hours and in the home of adult #1 who does not have a criminal record clearance on at least three occasions in the last month. This poses an immediate risk to the health, safety and/or personal rights of children in care. A $500.00 civil penalty was assessed today.
