What does Type A vs Type B mean?
Type A. Serious citation. Imminent or substantial risk to children. The regulator requires corrective action immediately and may impose a civil penalty.
Type B. Lower-severity citation. Corrective action required, no imminent risk. The regulator monitors compliance on the next visit.

HSC 1597.58(c)(2) Absence of supervision, including, but not limited to, a child left unattended, and a child left alone with a person under 18 years of age. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on the Licensee and one staff interviews, one daycare child eloped from the facility and found with a neighborhood resident. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care. A civil penalty of $500 is being issued for absence of supervision.

102416.2(b)(3)(C) Reporting Requirements: "A report shall be made to the Department…following the occurrence of.... (C) Any unusual incident or child absence that threatens the physical or emotional health or safety of any child." This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on an interviews, Licensee did not notify and/or submit a UIR to CCL. This posed a potential health, safety and/or personal rights risk to children in care.
