What the inspector wrote

An unannounced case management inspection was conducted today 04/30/25 at 9:13am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Sydney Sims. In regards to an unusual incident report received by the department on 03/21/25, where child C1's medical Inhaler was left outside over night and C1 was given the wrong dosage of prescribed medication. The Site Supervisor Pamela McGuire was interviewed on 4/30/25 at 9:30am and stated that the inhaler was left outside in the medical back pack inside a insulated lunch box and that C1 was given three puffs of the inhaler instead of the prescribed two puffs. The following deficiency was cited see (LIC 809D): 101226(e)(1)(A) (1) All prescription and nonprescription medications shall be centrally stored in accordance with the requirements specified below: (A) Medications shall be kept in a safe place and inaccessible to children. 101226(e)(3)(A) Prescription medications shall be administered in accordance with the label directions as prescribed by the child's physician. During today\342\200\231s inspection, the facility was toured, and LPA observed 13 children in care. Apeal rights were provided, Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Site Supervisor Pamela McGuire
