What the inspector wrote

On 6/1/2023 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Judy Laureano and Sarah Garcia conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of ensuring the standards are being met in accordance to California Tittle 22 Regulations and California Health and Safety Codes. LPAs met with Bonnie Brandt, facility director and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. During today\342\200\231s inspections there was 38 children and 5 adults and facility director providing care and supervision. LPA reviewed facility\342\200\231s sketch that was submitted to the ESCRO on 7/18/2008 and children\342\200\231s file. Based on LPA\342\200\231s file review and observations facility is being cited with Please see LIC 9099D. LPA\342\200\231s provided facility director a copy of PIN23-08-CCP. A copy of this report and Notice of Site Visit was provided to facility director, Bonnie Brandt.

    101216.4(a) Licensees serving preschool-age children may create a special program component for children who are between 18 months and 36 months of age... participating in a preschool toddler component, in addition to those specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.955. (1) A child who is between 18 months and 36 months of age may participate in the toddler program with written permission from the child's authorized representative. No child in the toddler program shall be placed in the preschool program before the age of 30 months without written permission from the child's authorized representative. This requierment is not met by evidence by LPA's observation and record review facility does not obtain a clear written permission for a child to participate in the toddler program whichpose which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

  • PRESCHOOL PROGRAM WITH TODDLER COMPONENT

    101216.4(a) Licensees serving preschool-age children may create a special program component for children who are between 18 months and 36 months of age... shall apply for children over 24 months, in addition to those specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.955. The provisions of Sections 101351 through 101439.1 shall apply for children between the ages of 18 and 24 months participating in a preschool toddler component, in addition to those specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.955.(2) The toddler program shall be conducted in areas physically separate from those used by older or younger children. Space planning and usage for the toddler component shall be governed by the provisions of Section 101438.3. Plans to alternate use of outdoor play space must be approved by the Department. This requierment is not met as evidence by director's interview confirming toddlers and preschool children have a shared outdoor time and area.

This requirement is not met as evidenced by facility's current classroom structure- demolition of wall between classroom 2 and 3, creating one classroom.
