What the inspector wrote

On 03/27/2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced Case Management-Deficiencies visit for the above-named Child Care Center. The Center is licensed for 12 infant children, ages 0 through 24 months of age. LPA met with Director Trina Mendoza. Director had to step out and was replaced by Designee Coreen Salceda. LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors and observed 5 children in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by 1 fingerprint cleared staff members. Facility hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7 :30am – 5:00pm. LPA toured the facility for health and safety. During the walk through, in the infant classroom at approximately 9:00am LPA Richmond observed one teacher sitting at the table alone with 5 infant children. LPA walked through the gated area and observed the sleep area. No other teachers were inside the infant classroom. Type B citation cited. See LIC 809D. At approximately 9:06am, LPA observed teacher in infant classroom with 4 infant children in care. LPA walked over to the toddler classroom and observed one infant child and seven preschool children comingling in care with one teacher. Type B citation cited. See LIC 809D. LPA observed infant child return to infant classroom at approximately 10:30am when additional teacher arrived to infant classroom. Two (2) type B citations cited per Title 22 Regulations and Health and Safety Codes. See LIC 809D. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to Designee Coreen Salceda. Notice of Site Visit was provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
