What the inspector wrote

On 04/21/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced Case Management-Deficiencies visit for the above-named Child Care Center. The Center is licensed for 12 infant children, ages 0 through 24 months of age. LPA met with Director Trina Mendoza. LPA toured the facility indoors and outdoors and observed 9 children in care, being supervised and cared for appropriately by 2 fingerprint cleared staff members. Facility hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7 :30am – 5:00pm. LPA toured the facility for health and safety. During the walk through, in the infant classroom at approximately 2:00pm LPA Richmond observed two teachers at the table with 1 infant child. LPA walked through the gated area and observed the sleep area. LPA observed 8 infant children awake inside the sleep area. No other teachers were inside the infant classroom. Type B citation cited. See LIC 809D. Repeat violation. See LIC 421FC. At approximately 2:30pm, LPA observed director Trina Mendoza arrive at the classroom. LPA observed that the infant classroom now has 9 infant children being supervised by three fingerprint cleared staff. One (1) type B citations cited per Title 22 Regulations and Health and Safety Codes. See LIC 809D. Civil penalty assessed. See LIC 421FC. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to Designee Coreen Salceda. Notice of Site Visit was provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
