Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Allegation regarding- staff talk to infants disrespectfully. According to S7, staff has heard another staff speak disrespectfully to at least one infant on one occasion. Per S7, staff told an infant to “stop whining”. Disclosure was made by a second staff who stated that staff has been observed speaking to infants in a “frustrated voice”. LPA also interviewed P2 thru 6 who made no disclosures. Based on interviews, although the allegation may have happened or is valid there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated. There is insufficient information to support the allegation that staff talk to infants disrespectfully. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Assistant Director Angel Haili. Appeal rights provided. Page 2 of 2
