What the inspector wrote

On 09/09/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Mary Silva and Diana Ortiz conducted an unannounced POC (Plan of Correction) inspection to ensure that the Type B deficiencies cited on 08/12/2025 have been cleared. LPA met with director Brenda Garcia whom the reason for the inspection was explained. LPA was guided on a tour of the facility. Census was taken. LPA observed 29 children with 3 teachers. The following was observed: - Staff #2 had a complete health screening report in the file - LPAs observed two air conditioning wall units protruding out of the window into the playground. LPA observed the filters were covered with metal mesh and warm to the touch posing a safety concern to the children in care. Based on the LPAs observations, the following deficiencies listed on the attached LIC 809D (deficiency page) are being cited in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Deficiencies that are being cited need to be cleared to protect the children’s health & safety. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Appeal rights were given. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with director Brenda Garcia.
