Type B. Lower-severity citation. Corrective action required, no imminent risk. The regulator monitors compliance on the next visit.

Personal Rights: (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (1) To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. (2) To be accorded safe, healthful and comfortable accommodations, furnishings and equipment to meet his/her needs. The requirement is not met as evidenced by: A child was left on the facility bus, during a hot day alone for a period of time. This poses an immediate health and safety risk for children in care.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROVIDING CARE AND SUPERVISION
Responsibility for providing Care and supervision: (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation.The requirement is not met as evidenced by: A child was left alone in the school van due to staff not doing the normal safety sweep of the van to ensure no one or nothing was left behind. This poses an immediate health and safety risk for children in care.

Conduct Inimical: Conduct in the operation or maintenance of a child care center which is inimical to the health, morals, welfare, or safety of either an individual in or receiving services from the facility or the people of the State of California The requirement is not met as evidenced by: Per Interviews with the staff #1 and staff #2 and #3, all three admitted that they did lie to the police and to the department regarding the actual story of what happened regarding the child being left on the bus. This poses an immediate health and safety risk for children in care.
