What the inspector wrote

On 07/02/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shushanik Safaryan conducted Case- management deficiency visit to the above facility. Upon arrival, at 2:00 pm , LPA met with the Haykanush Baroyan. The purpose of the visit was explained, and a tour of the facility was conducted .Licensee`s mother Azatuhi Baroyan was also present . During the tour , LPA observed 5 children upon arrival. LPA noted that the licensee`s bedroom , which is adjacent to the day care room , has access to the pool through sliding doors located in the bedroom. LPA observed door alarm and child safety latch on the bedroom door. In the bedroom , LPA observed cabinets in front of the sliding door leading to the pool. Additionally, LPA observed detached garage located in the outdoor play area, which had a side door with access to the pool. Per licensee, garage door can not open from outside only from inside of the garage. LPA observed side door has a key lock and door alarm. on the garage side door. LPA discussed with the licensee the regulatory requirements regarding an enclosure, including, but not limited to, a fence, wall, or other barrier that isolates the swimming pool from access to the family day care home. Based on the LPA’s observations and records review, the following deficiencies listed on the attached LIC 809D (deficiency page) are being cited in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Deficiencies that are being cited need to be cleared to protect the children’s health & safety. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Haykanush Baroyan on 07/02/2025.
