What the inspector wrote

Page 2 recommendation/suggestion to help with the children, so they are not interrupted during those times. The complainant felt like the school gets upset at them for picking up there child during that time even if the child has a doctor appointment, and the school will send them a reminder text the next day saying try not to do that, they appreciate if you don't. Complainant felt like it was the school was prioritizing the school's flexibility and not the parents schedule. Complainant stated your still allowed to pick up but they make you feel bad about it. Qualifications- Licensee does not provide proper training to staff. Per reporting party, teachers are nice but the staff lack professional training. Complainant stated she had gave a suggestion and wanted to donate some cushion materiel due to the fact of her child obtaining injuries while in care and it was stated to her that no matter what she donates a child will still get hurt. Parent felt that the staff needs training on how to communicate with parents. Per interviews it was stated that the staff member does need training on communication with parents and has been working on it. The following deficiency(s) listed on the attached LIC 9099D (deficiency page) is being cited in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 22. Deficiencies that are being cited need to be cleared to protect the children\342\200\231s health & safe. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Consultation was conducted on this date Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Pearl Omiya, Director.

    ADMISSION AGREEMENTS

    Admission Agreements: The licensee shall comply with all terms and conditions set forth in the admission agreement. The facility has an open door policy, however the facility has informed parents by email that they suggest/ recommend that children not be picked up or dropped off during the hours of 10 AM- 2 PM due to children daily activities. This requirement was not met as evidenced by, No updates to the parent handbook regarding time change or emails of information that provide suggestions/recommendations. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care
