Food Service:(a)In child care centers providing meals to children, the following shall apply:(19) All food shall be protected against contamination. Contaminated food shall be discarded immediately. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: At 10:18 AM, LPA observed 5 bags of snack items (Gold Fish, 2 bags of cereal, Organic Spelt Flakes) to be open, and not sealed correctly. Per Director, the facility reuses the large plastic containers. LPA observed 4 reused containers, containing cereal. Pictures were taken. This poses a potential health and safety risk to the children in care.
