MASON FAMILY CHILD CARE

What Happened

Unannounced annual inspection of a family child care home with the licensee present. The home was generally clean and organized, but the review identified an expired Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification, incomplete mandated reporter training, and no infant sleep log for the four infants in care. The property also has a pool, and the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and found operable.

Observations

  • The required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher had a fully charged gauge but no service tag, and the licensee was reminded it must be serviced yearly.
  • Pediatric First Aid/CPR was expired for the licensee and assistant, mandated reporter training was not completed, and no infant sleep log was available for the four infants in care.
