What the inspector wrote

Through interviews and evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, a deficiency is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D). An exit interview conducted with Director, Jennifer Mays A copy of this report and Appeal Rights were provided and discussed with Director, Jennifer Mays A Notice of Site Visit Form was posted to parent's board and must remain posted for 30 days.

    101238 Buildings and Grounds (a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors. This requirement was not met as evidenced by, LPA was informed through interviews that staff did not ensure the classroom was free from choking hazards, due to child choking on the strap due to strangulation. This posses a potential risk to the health, safety and/or personal rights of children in care.
