(a) The licensee shall be responsible for ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness including, but not limited to, fever or vomiting, are not accepted.This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA’s interviews and records obtained, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above staff accepts children with signs of illness into care in which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

The plan shall be in writing and shall be readily available.This requirement is not met as evidenced by:Based on observations, records review and interviews. The facility failed to post their Disaster Plan in a prominent area were staff would be able to access it as it was stored at an off-site location. Furethermore, interviews disclosed that the facility did not conduct fire drills and did not instruct staff in their duties and responsibilities under the plan, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

(d) The licensee shall maintain the following first-aid supplies in a location accessible to staff but inaccessible to children:This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on LPAs interviews, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 5 out of 7 staff members stated the License does not ensure first-aid supplies are accessible to staff in which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
