On 11/04/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Kou Vue and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Jose Penate conducted an unannounced Case Management (CM) – Incident inspection at the facility. LPA and LPM met with Director Jennifer Mays and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA and LPM toured the facility and took a census. On 10/23/2025 an incident was reported to Childcare Licensing. In the report, Director Jennifer Mays reported that C1’s personal rights may have been violated. On today’s date, LPA and LPM interviewed Director, reviewed video footage and obtained records. Based on the information gathered, the incident regarding C1 is an isolated incident and there was no violation of personal rights. LPA and LPM discussed with Director Jennifer Mays to update the facility’s parent handbook specifying procedures of a child arriving late for transportation to school, and parent/guardian will assume responsibility of picking up the child and/or dropping the child off at their designated school. Furthermore, LPA and LPM informed Director to ensure each child’s paperwork is completed to its entirety with date and parent/guardian signature. Director stated she understood and will ensure compliance moving forward. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Jennifer Mays. Appeal rights were provided. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiency is cited. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
